How to choose the right AI Course?

Just my opinion This choice depends mainly on your objectives and your position within your scientific community and team. It also depends on what we mean by “taking the course”.

If it’s just auditing, more information and more understanding can only help to increase the quality of your communications and interactions with interdisciplinary colleagues (from computer scientists, if you can work with them). If it’s about becoming capable of reproducing the knowledge and expanding it, then it depends what exactly you’re after.

If you want to conduct research on AI itself, then I believe you need to take some intermediate class regardless you’re the one implementing AI or so. Conflating simulated data and non-simulated data can lead to epistemic issues pertaining to your production of knowledge.
